USNS Comfort will now take coronavirus patients as crew member tests positive for COVID-19

Lieutenant General Todd Semonite, commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, gives an update on the military’s response efforts across the country.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 1,407,123 people across 180 countries and territories, resulting in over 79,091 deaths. In the U.S., all 50 states plus the District of Columbia have reported confirmed cases of COVID-19, tallying over 379,965 illnesses and at least 12,021 deaths.

Here’s a look at the 10 states with the most COVID-19 cases.
