FRANCESTOWN, N.H. —
A vehicle crashed into a utility pole Monday as a wintry mix fell in Francestown.
The crash knocked out power for about 700 customers in the area.
Officials said speed was a contributing factor in the crash, which happened on Bennington Road. A portion of the road will be closed for several hours, police said.
No injuries were reported.
In all, more than 1,000 outages have been reported across the state, with the most reports coming from the Monadnock Region.
About a half-inch of ice accumulation is possible in southwestern New Hampshire, which would likely lead to some tree damage and more power outages.
Roads, meanwhile, will continue to be quite slick as the storm continues Monday.
